“Simon Bristow was project manager on the essential maintenance & improvement works at Dulwich Picture Gallery in summer/autumn 2020. Simon managed these works impeccably; he is organised, experienced, and an excellent communicator. He delivered the project on time and on budget, with outstanding prioritisation skills, an expert eye for functionality and design, and dedication to every detail. Simon anticipates risks with a calm, pragmatic approach. He is a proactive problem solver with sensitivity to the requirements of an historic art collection, a listed building and grounds, contemporary architecture, and complex building management systems. He develops good relationships with stakeholders at all levels, brings a broad network of specialised contractors, and follows professional procurement processes. Further to this, Simon is personable and trustworthy. I cannot recommend him highly enough and would certainly work with him again.”

Simon acted as project manager and cost consultant on the fitout for the new café/restaurant at the Museum of the Home, as part of its £18.1m capital project. When he became involved the fitout was threatening to run 100% over its budget. He quickly organised a formal tender and delivered the project under budget, without any compromises on the museum’s requirements. He always knew what was going on, and was quick to respond to any issues and practical in resolving them. I have no hesitation in recommending him.’
Director of Strategy and Finance, Museum of the Home, London
Simon is a first rate project manager. He offers the perfect balance of both expert knowledge and extraordinary execution. He takes time and care to understand our brand and operational demands, whilst also optimising value output. He is also extremely commercial - in fact, he treats every pound spent from our budget as if it were his own.
Simon is calm and methodical in his approach. His thoroughness and professionalism is matched with the creative and enthusiastic approach required. He has simply never let us down - even when we have asked the impossible! I trust him to attain and deliver the best results for business and I highly recommend him.”

“Cubitt House Ltd have worked with Simon Bristow Associates Ltd, on three of their Central London pub fit-outs. The Alfred Tennyson, Belgravia, was a refurbishment and alteration of the existing pub, then The Coach Makers in Marylebone, underwent a £1.6 million contract, refurbishing the whole of the internal and external fabric of the building. Most recently, The Beau Brummell in St James’s, a new fit out of an existing shell building.
Simon was heavily involved throughout the design and budget processes and became the Project Manager, with responsibility for all aspects of the project.
I would not hesitate to utilise Simon’s expertise in the future, as he has a rare combination and background of being a QS and Project Manager, combined with a calm and determined personality! The projects that we worked on were on budget, on programme and the quality of the fit outs are a testament to his skill.”
